The History

In 1971, the founder of Gulf Stream, Jim Shea Sr., owned a manufactured housing business in Nappanee, Indiana. He was looking to expand his operation when he felt inspired by successful RV companies in the city. He was inspired by the community of innovation around him that was focused on building efficient and comfortable campers for travel enthusiasts.

This led to the launch of Gulf Stream Coach in 1983. Shea utilized his learning from the manufactured housing industry to create high-quality motorhomes that were ideal for short and extended trips alike. Since then, there has been no looking back for the company.
