Check with the campsites you intend to visit to see whether they have size restrictions. You want to avoid getting a camper that won’t be allowed in your favorite campgrounds. You should also check the height of your preferred used RV to ensure it will fit inside your indoor storage area and let you travel through any tunnels or under bridges.

Water System

You need your used RVs water system to work smoothly during your outing. That’s why you must ensure it is free of any issues.

Check all three water tanks—freshwater, black, and grey—and see if they hold the water properly. If you notice any leaks, it is better to give the used camper a pass. You will also want to examine the showerhead, the closing hatch seal on the RV’s toilet, the hookups for the water tanks, and the water heater to see that everything functions smoothly.

Power System and Safety Checks
